Carolyn Ellis is an American artist living and working in Paris, France. Her most recent body of works express a fluidity between opposing forces as depicted through the layering of colors and strokes. She explores themes of collision rooted in the elements of nature.

Through her abstracted paintings, she is constantly seeking to capture the movement of a moment or memory, in an effort to find balance and introspection.

Carolyn has a professional background grounded in creativity. She worked as an art director in New York City, and holds a degree in advertising and a minor in business from the University of Texas at Austin. Here in Paris, she has studied fine art at the Paris College of Art. Earning her certificate in fine arts in 2020.
